Brute Force

When an attacker submits numerous combinations of passwords on the target machine. Brute force consists of a hacking tool and persistent guesses to log in.
Attacker –> Automated hacking tool –> Persistent login attempts into target machine –> Response of success or failure

Dictionary

Is a type of Brute Force attack. Attacker uses the dictionary to attain common passwords.

Password Spraying

Password Spraying attack is another type of Brute Force attack. An attacker attains a list of usernames and endeavors the same password on different user accounts.

Rainbow Table

Cracking password hashes. To identify passwords from their cryptographic hashes in a database.
